Tesia Hackett est herboriste communautaire et cueilleuse, installée au bord du territoire à Gaspé / Gespeg, sur le territoire non cédé mi’kma’ki de Gespe’gewa’gi. D’ascendance crie (Sturgeon Lake) et celtique, elle s’inspire des relations vivantes entre la terre, les plantes et les récits qui relient les gens à un lieu.
À travers Cueilli, Tesia agit comme une alchimiste moderne, mariant l’herboristerie, la cueillette et l’art du récit sensoriel pour inviter à une connexion plus profonde avec le territoire. Ses amers et offres botaniques sont créés en petites quantités à partir de plantes sauvages et locales cueillies selon la saison, chacune reflétant les rythmes, la beauté et l’abondance de ce lieu.
Forte de son expérience en conservation de la biodiversité et d’une approche ancrée dans le territoire, Tesia cherche à nourrir un sentiment d’appartenance et de soin. Elle invite à mieux connaître et apprécier ce lieu pour mieux le protéger.

Tesia Hackett is a community herbalist and forager living at the land’s edge in Gaspé / Gespeg, within the unceded Mi’kma’ki territory of Gespe’gewa’gi. Of Celtic and Cree (Sturgeon Lake) ancestry, her work is guided by relationship to land, to plants, and to the living stories that connect people with place.
Through Cueilli, Tesia works as a kind of modern alchemist, blending herbal craft, foraging, and sensory storytelling to invite deeper connection with the land. Her small-batch bitters and botanical offerings are crafted with wild and local plants gathered in season, each one a reflection of the rhythms, beauty, and abundance of this territory.
With a background in biodiversity conservation and a devotion to place-based living, Tesia’s work encourages belonging and care. It is an invitation to grow appreciation for this territory by becoming attentive to what we already have right here.
