northern orange bitters

Handcrafted between ancient mountains and boundless sea from locally foraged plants representing Gaspésie's wild flavors when the landscape is ablaze in vibrant yellows, burnt oranges and fiery reds. Rooted in ancient herbalism and alchemy, each botanical is slowly macerated separately under the waxing and waning moon. Once optimal flavor is achieved, we then steam-distill using our copper alembic to capture the last aromatic oils to coalesce into our Northern Orange bitters. Crafted without oranges and featuring prickly ash pepper, Quebec’s northernmost member of the orange family, delicately blended with sumac, rosehips and wild caraway, our zesty orange bitters linger like the last autumn leaf.

about cueilli wildcraft apothecary

Cueilli was founded by Tesia Hackett as a meeting place between herbalism, foraging, and connection to place.

Rooted at the land’s edge in Gaspé / Gespeg, the territory known as “the end of the land,” Cueilli is a wild apothecary gathering the flavors, stories, and medicines of this coast. Each small batch of bitters, elixirs, and infusions is made from plants harvested with care, inviting a return to what grows close to home.

Cueilli honours belonging through taste, season, and story, and stands in respect for the people who have long tended and protected these lands.
